A better question
is a good start.

Research begins with curiosity, but it does not stop there. I’m interested in learning how to ask questions that can be investigated, follow evidence carefully and explain what the evidence does—and does not—show.

SELF-DIRECTED · EXAMPLE STUDY

From question to test

An illustrative research-planning exercise: frame a question, consider what could be observed and note the limits before drawing a conclusion. It reports no real experiment or findings.

THE QUESTIONS I CARRY

From “interesting”
to “what can we learn?”

My interest in science and research is part of an ongoing education. I like following an idea, understanding the background and looking for ways to separate an interesting possibility from a supported conclusion.

Innovation, to me, is not just novelty. It is noticing a need, making a thoughtful attempt at an answer, and being open to changing direction when new information appears.

A careful notebook

  • Write down the question before chasing an answer
  • Look for credible sources and note their limits
  • Distinguish observations from assumptions
  • Share uncertainty rather than smoothing it away
