04 / FINE ART · DRAWING

Look longer.
See differently.

I draw because it slows the world down. A sketch can be a record of what I noticed, a way to test an idea or simply a reason to look more carefully.

SELF-DIRECTED · EXAMPLE STUDY

Lines, circles & observation

An original geometric drawing exercise exploring rhythm, balance and how simple marks can change the way a composition feels.

A PRACTICE, NOT A PERFORMANCE

Making room for the unfinished.

Not every drawing needs to become a polished piece. Some help me notice a shape or a shadow. Others are the first visual version of a thought I’m still trying to understand.

Fine art gives me another way to practise patience, composition and seeing the relationship between parts and the whole—skills that often find their way back into design and engineering.
